Our Ladder Safety Training Course is aimed at anyone who as part of their work duties performs tasks at height and selects the appropriate access equipment for those tasks


Duration - Half Day

This course is aimed at anyone who as part of their work duties performs (or authorises & oversees) tasks at height and selects the appropriate access equipment for those tasks.

Delegates will look in depth at ladder selection and safety and be able to identify why ladders may not always be the appropriate choice. They will be able to demonstrate that they can meet the legislative requirements of working at height, identify the hazards and risks involved & understand the importance of following safe systems of work, procedures and rules.

  • The Working at Height Regulations 2005 (as amended)
  • Types of access and working platforms
  • Hierarchy for planning of work at height
  • How to select and safely use step ladders or extension ladders
  • Practical fault finding with ladders and safety checks
  • Practical demonstration with ladders

Certification: Fire Coral Certificate of Attendance valid for 3 years

Our trainer will always bring a set of ladders with him to use for the training, although ideally the training would be performed using the equipment that would typically be used by your delegates. That way, we can tailor the course and optimise it’s relevance to your workforce.
