>Employees of your company in (VARIABLE 8) must have documentary evidence of the fit and use of respiratory equipment (RPE). For those working with dangerous chemicals and materials, RPE is vital. Fire Coral Ltd provides onsite Face-Fit testing to ensure every RPE user understands how the system works and that the mask fits their face correctly. Our expert training staff will come out to your company and provide Face-fit testing, ensuring you receive the correct documentation required in the Health & Safety Executives (HSE) guidance note HSE 282/28.

The COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations require that all company staff using respirators should take a face-fit test to ensure tight fitting face pieces fit correctly.

About Face Fit Testing

Face Fit Testing is a method that is used to identify how fitting a facepiece matches an individual. An inappropriate facepiece will substantially reduce the needed protection, so it is required to meet the safety criteria.

Furthermore, there are two types of Face Fit Testing - qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative method is specifically designed for testing of filtering facepieces (disposable masks) and half masks but not full face masks, as it is based on tasting or smelling a bitter, sweet or odorous compound. Whereas quantitative is designed for all types of masks and is also known as Fit Factor. It is based on numerical calculations of the efficiency of the fit.

About London

London is the capital of England and the United Kingdom, the largest metropolitan area in the United Kingdom and the largest urban zone in the European Union by most measures. London has been a major settlement for two millennia, its history going back to its founding by the Romans, who called it Londinium. London's ancient core, the City of London, largely retains its square-mile mediaeval boundaries. Since at least the 19th century, the name London has also referred to the metropolis developed around this core. The bulk of this conurbation forms the London region and the Greater London administrative area, governed by the elected Mayor of London and the London Assembly. London is a leading global city, with its strengths in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development, tourism and transport all contributing to its prominence. It is the world's largest financial centre alongside New York, has the largest city GDP in Europe and is home to the headquarters of more than 100 of Europe's 500 largest companies. It is the most visited city in the world. London's five international airports make its airspace the busiest of any urban centre worldwide and London Heathrow is the world's busiest airport by number of international passengers. London's 43 universities form the largest concentration of higher education institutions in Europe. In 2012 London will become the first city to host the Summer Olympics three times.
